A Timeline of Faith and Perseverance
Separated from his parents at age five, Raphael was raised by goodwill caretakers, shaping his resilient character.
Embraced by Bishop Sadock Mlongecha, his life took a remarkable turn towards ministry in Kigoma.
His ministry of love took flight—preaching, comforting orphans, and sewing to fund his outreach.
In Malawi, a divine vision instructed him: "Go, begin this work for restoration, transformation, and love."
On September 15, 2011, the vision took form at the Church of the Nazarene in Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
“Growing up without the warmth of my biological family, I found home in God and in serving others. Whether preaching on buses, comforting widows, or holding a child in an orphanage, I discovered purpose in giving. GOFRIL is my response to a world in need—a platform to transform lives through faith, love, and practical action. This vision is bigger than me. It is God's heartbeat for the broken. I invite you to be a part of this mission—not just to support it, but to embody it.”
— Raphael Isaac Rabin Ijarah
GOFRIL’s unforeseen vision began in the streets of Kigoma, Tanzania — with nothing but a voice, a song, and a heart for orphans. Raphael walked from orphanage to orphanage, offering hope through music and prayer.
With only a sewing machine and unwavering faith, he provided food, clothes, and school supplies to those in need. This seed of service, nurtured by spiritual mentors, began to grow into a movement.
"Raphael is not just a leader—he is a testimony. His journey is proof that brokenness can birth beauty. He has changed lives not with riches, but with relentless love."
