Economic Empowerment

Economic Empowerment for Youth and Women

Unlocking Potential Through Skills, Resources, and Opportunities for Self-Reliance

Why It Matters

Youth and women in marginalized communities — especially refugees, single mothers, and unemployed young people — often face limited access to income, training, and capital. Without support, they remain dependent and vulnerable.

At GOFRIL Foundation, we believe that when women and youth are economically empowered, entire families and communities thrive. This program helps build sustainable livelihoods, foster entrepreneurship, and promote long-term resilience.

Areas of Focus

Vocational & Entrepreneurship Training

Tailored workshops in practical trades (e.g., tailoring, baking, hairdressing, agribusiness) combined with basic business and financial literacy.

Startup Support & Micro-Enterprise Development

Guidance in business planning, access to startup kits, mentorship, and ongoing support for micro-enterprise growth.

Village Savings & Loan Groups (VSLAs)

Organizing self-managed saving and loan groups for women and youth to promote financial inclusion and strengthen community-based safety nets.

Empowerment & Rights Education

Raising awareness of economic, social, and legal rights to help participants advocate for themselves and make informed financial decisions.

This program equips youth and women not just with skills, but with confidence, tools, and access — everything they need to build businesses, generate income, and lead change in their families and communities. It's about more than income — it's about dignity, freedom, and a future full of possibility.
